For each individual portfolio, MOSAIC practices the following principles:
- MOSAIC constructs Portfolios with no-load mutual funds and individual securities. Since no performance difference has been shown between load and no-load funds in studies of mutual funds, it is important to invest in no-load funds to prevent the commissions charged by load funds from diminishing the value of the portfolio and lowering the returns on the portfolio.
- MOSAIC advocates a long-term buy-and-hold strategy to help clients meet their financial goals and objectives with comfortable risk tolerance.
- MOSAIC prepares an Investment Policy Statement that stipulates each client’s financial goals, risk tolerance, investment strategy, and investment types.
- MOSAIC continuously monitors and sends a monthly statement of portfolio positions and their market values; a quarterly performance review is prepared for each client. This performance review calculates the portfolio return on a quarterly, year-to-date, preceding 12 months, and since inception basis.
